about me

We're, none of us, all one thing all the time.

I was born and raised in the vast open west of Wyoming and attended college in Colorado before moving to Seattle for medical training.

While in medical school, I developed a love of yoga, becoming fascinated by the way the challenges and victories that happen on the mat are so often reflected in life off the mat. Around this time, I was training in DBT and began to realize how closely the DBT skills we were teaching clients matched the themes of my favorite yoga classes. Thus, the idea of DBT Yoga Skills Group was born.

I am passionate about working to teach DBT skills and yoga in a way that feels accessible, non-judgmental and light-hearted. My hope is that DBT Yoga Skills Group serves to support individuals on their journey toward a life worth living.

In addition to yoga instruction, I maintain a private psychiatry/psychotherapy practice at Psychiatric Medicine Associates in Seattle, WA.

When not at work, I can be found falling out of headstands, trying to keep up with my silly, spunky Portuguese Water Dog and spending time with my husband.
