Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured.

- B.K.S. Iyengar

Distress Tolerance

The practice of being fully aware and present in this one moment.

Tolerating and enduring emotional pain in difficult situations and not changing it.

Interpersonal Effectiveness
Emotion Regulation

Asking for what you want and saying no while maintaining self-respect and relationships with others.

Changing emotions you want to change, including those that are not serving you well.

Yoga means many things. One definition is "to yoke" as in "to bring together in union."

DBT yoga skills group provides an opportunity to learn DBT skills and practice bringing these skills to the mat in a DBT themed yoga practice. We will also work on ways to take skillful behavior off the mat and into your daily life.

Participants will complete a 6 week series consisting of one 2 hour session per week. One hour will be dedicated to learning a DBT skill from one of the four core modules listed above and one hour to yoga practice.
